Patently Female: From AZT to TV Dinners, Stories of Women Inventors and their Breakthrough Ideas
Ethlie Ann Vare, co-author of “Patently Female: From AZT to TV Dinners, Stories of Women Inventors and their Breakthrough Ideas,” visits Franklin College to celebrate the Women’s History Month Luncheon and Lecture. Vare will speak about the “Mothers of Invention” and tell the stories of the women behind disposable diapers, dishwashers, Barbie dolls, hang gliders, Liquid Paper and the atomic bomb. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. in the Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center. Costs for the event are $15 for the public, $10 for alumni, faculty and staff and $5 for students.
