Strawberry Parfait

Recipes by Kwang Casey, co-owner and director of restaurant operations at Oaken Barrel Brewing Company, Greenwood.

Yield: 4 servings

1 5-ounce package of vanilla pudding mix

3 cups of cold milk

1 ounce of Grand Marnier or orange liqueur

1 pint of strawberries, sliced

1 cup of whipped cream

Mix vanilla pudding mix into 3 cups of cold milk and whisk until smooth. Add Grand Marnier liqueur and mix. Layer a few of the strawberries into bottom of a tall wine glass or a martini glass. Layer vanilla custard on top of the strawberries. Repeat until it tops the glass. Top it with whipped cream and garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Other berries may be used, such as blueberries or raspberries. Use all three berries and make it a triple berry parfait.
