for muggles and wizards alike

The Harry Potter Alliance was created in 2005 as a way to make activism accessible. The alliance’s Greenwood Burrow, established in 2018 by the Greenwood Public Library, puts that activism in reach of southside Harry Potter enthusiasts with events such as the March 28 highway cleanup in Franklin. During the event, participants will pick up a 2-mile stretch of State Road 144 from U.S. 31 to Centerline Road in Franklin.

Participants will meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of American Health Network, 1300 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. They are asked to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes; cleaning supplies, water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, safety vests and work gloves will be provided. All participants must be 18 or older. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for April 4. For more information on the Harry Potter Alliance Greenwood Burrow, visit greenwoodlibrary.us/hpalliance.
